summer is warm, with average temperatures of 25° C
and moderate rains. The sea fog is sometimes persistent
in the east coast. The transition from the winter to the
summer happens very quickly by mid April, with a daily
average temperature in Toronto of 18° C. Winters are
humid and cold, with average temperatures of between 7º
C in Vancouver and -1º C in Toronto. Around the Great
Lakes are very strong snow-drifts and to the east of the
Rocky mountains the wind known as chinuk can raise the
temperatures up to 22º C. |
