Generally, the Canadian kitchen mixes the native base with the influence of different communities of settlers that went arriving to this land throughout the centuries. Just in Toronto are mixed more than 60 communities, although the Chinese and Italian are those of greater presence in which to gastronomy related. In the Terranova State, the codfish and the fin pie are the most popular plates, while in all the Atlantic coast excellent fish and seafood can be tasted.

The city of Quebec is famous by its French influenced gastronomy and many restaurants offer the most typical plates of the Gaul kitchen with some American touches. On the other hand, in the prairies regions are typical the excellent meats, while in British Columbia the salmon is the absolute protagonist. In the northern territories it’s necessary to taste the gray codfish and the Arctic trout.

The Canadian beer is of good quality. There are different marks and types, like ale pilsner and the German type ones. The wine is produced in the Ontario and British Columbia regions and has an acceptable quality.
