Temiscamingue
Lake Fossil Centre
Located in the Ordovician-Silurian period (between 505
and 400 million years back), this place is designed to
increase the understanding of the Earth life during the
first steps of the evolution. The fossil centre offers
several types of guided tours, through which it’s
possible to admire the different corals, echinoderms,
gastropods and brachiopods collections.
The search of fossils is made in the beautiful scene of
the borders of the Temiscamingue lake and in the immediate
vicinity of the lake. The centre also includes a workshop
for children and a laboratory.
